The Cause:
Mainstream Theory:
"When melanocytes don't distribute evenly and instead grow in clusters, moles form."
That definition really doesn't define a cause, and almost seems to have genetic undertones to it, like the melanocytes and what they do are out of our control.
Scientific Theory:
This is what I am looking to find out.
What is the cause of moles in the realm of actual scientific research?
The Solution:
Just as a reference in case someone reading this is looking to remove moles, here's member Haidut's post on his product containing citrus flavonoids and caffeine and a number of studies as evidence of their effectiveness in removing moles:
