Magnesiumchlorid in water ("magnesium oil") works great for me.
I just put it in a little spray bottle and apply it after my shower. No smell whatsoever, even when I'm sweating heavily

My current batch of home-made deodorant is coconut oil + baking soda + ginger essence. Some people include starch powser in the mix, some use no scents or other scents. I think ginger is a fairly benign or maybe positive one for me (antiserotonergic?). I don't think it stops you perspiring, but baking soda soaks up smells. I imagine starch would probably soak up more liquid.

I use a bit of Tom's of Maine deodorant daily. All natural without any aluminum in it. It's not antiperspirant though so sometimes I question even using it as by the end of the day my Peat inspired manly awesomeness smell is shining through.

I also use a variety of men's eau de toilettes and colognes daily as well, switching it up.
