Vitamin K2 lowers blood pressure

I know this is just a single case study but it seems to confirm Peat's recommendations to take vitamin K2 to lower blood pressure. The dosage used was sort of low (100 micrograms), which tells me it was probably MK-7 that was used and not MK-4. Either way, something to keep in mind for people with low blood pressure and for those that want to lower their high blood pressure.

I don't know if it is more effective, but given it's longer half-life and the fact that this person had effects from only 100mcg probably means that you can achieve similar results with lower dosage of MK-7 than taking MK-4. However, MK-4 is the form the body prefers to use and most of the beneficial results in human studies were as a result of MK-4. It doesn't hurt to get some MK-7 and try 100mcg for a few days. But, I'd personally stick with MK-4:):
