There’s two types, one is smooth all over and more yellow in color and the other is fuzzier and green flesh... They’re also a good source of Vitamin E and K1 believe it or not
My favourite are the smooth, yellow ones ;)

Two questions, (1) are we not concerned about Rays warnings on the amount of ROS in experiments with high purity supplemental ascorbic acid/ potential contamination and (2) is dehydroascorbic acid not good enough from a diet of animals foods and cooked fruits etc...

Does fresh food (not reduced) vitamin C have some preferable effect?
