cheese with fruit, eggs, liver once a week. Can tuna every other day. I took out beans. Coffee I took that out too rich cup of coffee every mourning. Some stews. Big issues with baked broccoli so no go. Healthy white or black chocolate very little additives. Fruits include pears, oranges, blueberries. Bacon once a week.

If you’re experiencing painful bowel spasms that are bringing you to your knees and you have a history of poor digestion, you should see a doctor to rule out Crohn’s or Colitis.

If they can’t reach a diagnosis with imaging and bloodwork, then you should test for infection.

If a competent GI doctor can’t reach a diagnosis, or if their proposed treatment has the potential to do you harm, then you should come back here and ask for help.

Crowdsourcing a diagnosis and potential treatment on a web forum for painful bowel symptoms without first seeing a specialist to rule out whatever western medicine is capable of diagnosing is a recipe for prolonging your suffering.

Also, combinations of cheese and fruit are probably not helping the situation. How do you handle simple starch, like unbleached, unfortified French bread with butter?

Maybe try drinking a little bit more water with electrolytes than you do currently (i'm not sure if you drink water at all-- most of you guys seem to drink none whatsoever but i'm squeamish about doing this)

Also if what you listed is legitimately all you eat you need a more varied diet and probably to eat less tuna

Also, looking carefully over your diet now, have you tried simply stopping what your doing? I know that might sound insulting, but have you tried just eating a normal diet: refined starch, meat, boiled veggies, salt, butter, small amounts of fruit and sugars?

You haven’t given us a lot of info, so ruling out if you recover on a normal human diet that isn’t based around cheese and fruit might be worthwhile.

Whatever the case: see a doctor.

^^

If the pain is "bringing you to your knees" you should
A) see a doctor for sure
B) not give the bare minimum of information you possibly could in response to questions

Do you get enough magnesium? Calcium is tricky to get right, many things influence it.

Magnesium and calcium work in tandem for smooth muscle contractions.

Also, what cheese?

Well, for starters, you could provide the answers to the ONLY two questions I've asked. You can tell where there are questions for more info, by the way, when there's a question mark in one of my sentences. Go and look now for the two I've already asked.

Also, you don't know if it's IBS. So you don't know that's what a doctor will say, or what a CT scan would reveal. As someone with Crohn's disease for 15 years, I can resolutely tell you, you don't know what you're talking about. The level of pain you're describing is not common in IBS. But even if it IS that-- because I've certainly had crippling gas pains before and can relate to random spasms as well, which were probably unrelated to Crohn's--you don't know if it's caused by an infection (not to mention what KIND of infection: fungal, bacterial, viral, parasitical), or by a food reaction (either an intolerance due to a variety of factors, ranging from, again, infection, dysbiosis, allergy, constitution, etc.) or by poor food combining or any number of reasons. You need testing for that. AND, on top of that all: you don't know if it's Colitis or Crohn's. So, again, start with testing.

You're down in a dark well, man, on your knees in pain asking for help. And we're out here above you on land, asking if you have tried using the ladder to climb up. And you're like, "What more info can I provide?!"

Try the ladder first. Go to a doctor. Then come back and tell us arm-chairs what they said, and maybe we can help you from there, because currently you aren't giving us much to work with.

If you're looking for a symptomatic fix in the meantime, try some strong peppermint tea. It should help the spasms and also help you release any gas.
