Using nitropaste?

@haidut looking for help. I gave birth last week and experienced a pretty severe/unique tear. My doctor prescribed nitropaste (nitroglycerin) for the sutures to increase blood flow to the area. But now I’m digging into Peats work in the topic and it seems increasing nitric oxide would be a bad thing? Can someone please clarify this for me so I can make an informed decision?

Also any supplements/foods that would be helpful for healing, especially such a sensitive area? I’m taking beef liver, thyroid (T3 + T4), and using homeopathic remedies as needed.
