What do you mean unfinished? You still have the cotton on to allow the nerve to dry?

A root canal (finished) is just a temporary thing until you get a crown.

The tooth weakens and can get a cavity, especially between teeth.

After a few years if you don't use a mouthguard and depending on care, you could break the tooth.

Then you must get an implant.

The full root canal is not finalized
He simply took out the main nerve and cleaned it. The second appointment is to clean again and seal it . Is a crown essential?

A root canal is not something you leave like that long-term.

Because the tooth is no longer remineralizing you either get a cavity or it breaks.

You could get away with a few years, but if you lose it, then you will have to get an implant.

It depends on your oral routine and not having an accident (popcorn seed).

The tooth turns crystalline in structure, the crown is supposed to protect the base of the tooth, since some is removed to make way for the crown.

Now, is not something immediate that needs to be done right away, but keep the above in mind.
