All it will take is a change of administration in Poland and incidences like that will diminish, you would hope. Hopefully the war ends sooner so they go can all back home and rebuild. Also, how thought provoking that China was at the center of Saudi-Iran normalization and might eventually get credit for initiating Ukraine peace talks. They have so much clout, it’s possible.

But they don’t recognize any reunified regions, including Crimea, do they? So their first point “Respecting the sovereignty of all countries” seems a dead end. Never mind Odessa. Maybe the idea is to bring them to the negotiating table (reality) and go from there.

Last weeks CGTN Chinese TV interview with host Liu Xin poked holes in everything Hersh had to say. It seems the TV station was armed with a different set of background info (Chinese intelligence or suspicions?) and knew the right questions to ask him. His answers, non answers and story changes revealed him to be either a ClA dupe or willing mouthpiece. Certain evasions and non-answers point to the latter, but it could have been his vanity speaking, so maybe he's just a dupe.

The following comments are meant for no one in particular, but other things to consider are how Hersh gets paid and all of his organization memberships ... Has any of it been revoked yet? Does anyone recall any examples? Everyone else would have been fully cancelled by now... Be skeptical, ask questions, verify, none of these people are angels worth trusting.

If the Chinese summary is right, then what's the real story? Is it the Indian diplomat M.K. Bhadrakumar's initial version of events? Or maybe dodgy Scholz was involved? And if so is this being used as blackmail over him? Or is Hersh's story intended as both misdirection and a smear for Biden? Is Hersh half right, mostly, or not at all? A more limited role for Norway? I can think of dozens more to ask.
