This is why they have to invade southern Ukraine south of the Dniester Estuary that borders Moldova and Romania. There can't be much defense there.
What do you think is the main reason they pulled out right now? Too hard to hold for the moment, or the grain issue? (Or both)

This is so exciting for him. That’s how he was able to remember all the numbers
Are they making big promises bc they know defeat is imminent and want to look good, knowing they won’t actually have to deliver?

As Brian the New Atlas guy says, you can’t create a cohesive fighting force out of thin air.

They were getting hammered too hard with new western long-range artillery. It's impossible to hold until they remediate that problem.

Ok. That’s what I thought after looking at that one diagram again - with the weapons & snake island. You totally called that.

@Peachy you wondered what heat flares do. I'm assuming the manpads missed off to the side because that's where the flares were launched. We can't see if flares were fired before the first miss, but I think it's safe to assume they were because it went about where they would have been. These helicopters have an audible to warn the pilot when it detects manpads

Since February 24, RU Armed Forces have accumulated several interesting episodes with the use of unique weapons. Some of them are definitely worth taking apart.

The first and one of the most noteworthy on the list is the work of the UR-77 demining machine at the end of April against the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Rubizhne. This weapon has been used before, but such shooting rarely hit the camera. The peculiarity of the Meteorite, is that inside the sealed cord there are several hundred kilograms of explosives that can be placed in a 5x5 meter square using an exhaust rocket, which makes it ideal in urban environments.

The SVO in Ukraine is also notable for the first combat use of "305" guided missiles from the Hermes-A complex. This is actually the first missile with multi-channel guidance for helicopters, capable of hitting targets at a distance of 25 km. With the help of "305", helicopters can destroy enemy positions and equipment behind the back of the main forces. These missiles were successfully used, in particular, during the cleansing of the suburbs of Severodonetsk from the UA forces. The use was largely experimental, but quite successful.

In the same place in Severodonetsk, tank support combat vehicles (BMPT) were used for the first time in a battle with UA tanks. It is noteworthy that BMPTs were used at night as a technique with an increased level of situational awareness. BMPT crews worked from long distances - at least 5 km. Partly, thanks to these machines, it was possible to quickly occupy the quarters of the city from the northeast and east, and then push the UA forces first into the industrial zone, then drive them to Lisichansk (which is also being cleared now).

A separate and unsolvable problem for the Armed Forces of Ukraine was the use of the Msta-S + Krasnopol and Orlan drones. With the help of UAVs, Russian army learned to open the headquarters and parking areas of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the firing range of a guided projectile, according to some reports, in real conditions turned out to be higher than the calculated and known to the public. Krasnopol helped to reduce the time to actually hit the target. Under normal conditions (with the use of observation equipment or the work of advanced gunners), from 6 to 8 shells are needed to zero a target at position. Adjustable active-reactive ammunition reduces this procedure by six to eight times - down to one shot. This approach deprives the enemy of the opportunity to change position.

The most little-studied part is the work of strategic aviation and this side of combat work has not yet been disclosed, i.e. launches of Kh-101 cruise missiles carried by Tu-160 and Tu-95MS, for the first time:

Also, apparently T90Ms were deployed into action(although there are still rumors, that Russians keep them for the upcoming conflict with NATO forces):

"Talk about China, Russia and Iran being sooooo isolated. Well, after all we’re deep into the metaverse spectrum, where things are the opposite of what they seem.

Moscow’s obstinacy in not following Washington’s Plan A to start a pan-European war is rattling Atlanticist nerves to the core. So right after the G7 summit significantly held at a former Nazi sanatorium, enter NATO’s, in full warmongering regalia."
