Nightingale hospitals grounded by staff shortage | News | The Sunday Times

Nightingales cost £1m per patient, analysis shows, amid warnings most will not fully open due to lack of staff

News in the UK over the past couple of days revealed that the government paid private firms (likely run by family members of government ministers or goverment donors) £220m to build the emergency nightingale hospitals to prevent the NHS being overwhelmed in the first wave of coronavirus. Only 2 of the 7 hospitals has ever been used and only 200 patients in total have been treated there. This stinks of corruption and the transferring of government funds to private companies who are in bed with the government. Who is going to argue about money being spent to built on hospitals during a pandemic?

The government also paid huge sums to other companies, some dormant, some with £100 of assets to their name, in order to provide PPE which never arrived. The longer they keep this pandemic going the more the can squeeze out of the countries purse under the guise of good.
