Yes, I use both taurine and TUDCA. They have really improved my liver function - especially bile flow.

I take 1-2x 500 mg taurine / day continuously and 2x 200 mg TUDCA in cycles of 4 week on, 2 weeks off.

No, 200 mg 2x / day. Sometimes I take it 3x / day, but I don't know if it has any additional benefit.

In any case, I do experience a greater sense of confidence since I started taking TUDCA, which could be related to a better ratio of testosterone to estrogen.

Yes! I've read about people taking more than that but I don't think it's necessary unless you're having major liver issues and/or doing oral anabolic steroids.

why does tudca need to be cycled? its a bile acid, maybe found in liver or some other animal organ?

I don't think it needs to be cycled, but it gets very expensive if I take it everyday :).
