I think everyone that knows me on this forum probably knows I'm a huge fan of ascorbic acid. When I found out about it's benefits I was going through panic attacks and seriously didn't think I"d ever live a normal life again. That was 4 yrs ago. I've been using 2-4 grams a day ever since. I've tried stopping a few times and always had a return of anxiety.

Yo @sugarbabe any update? Are you still using vitamin C? Since stopping Peating i'm barely getting any vit C and of all the stupid supplements ive done over the years the most basic thing of all vit C i've never actually tried. I wonder if replenishing the adrenals with vit C, Magnesium and B1 can restore proper thyroid function assuming you aren't spiking them with caffeine all day long and excessive amounts of sugar to displace the vit C.

Yep, I'm back to 4 grams a day in the morning. Switching over to csalts which is buffered with calcium, mag, potassium and a tiny amount of zinc. We will see how that goes. I seem to need it still. Stress definitely depletes it.

I re-read an old Nathan Hatch article on using vit C to correct low thyroid function, he said to take it in doses of about 500mg at once dissolved in water a few times throughout the day until saturation is reached (pink finger tips, feeling relaxed and warm) than taper off and maintain a lower dose. I might try it for fun, I've been craving citrus fruits of late despite getting plenty of sugar. Solid Magnesium levels will be important aswell if you feel like you're depleting vit C stores quick as they help suppress the HPA axis.
