Toxins From Sausage/nitrates?

I've been stuck indoors today due to rain. I had nothing to really eat but some sausage, which I didn't want to eat but had no choice.

I microwaved it and put a pinch of sugar and turmeric/black pepper/seasoning on top. Soon now after eating I'm feeling a bit flushed and like my body temp increased a bit.

I also felt like a warm sensation on my foot and my knee started aching a bit.

I am thinking this could be the result of the sausage I ate. It did say it has a few grams of PUFA most likely and ~2.5 grams of trans fat, among nitrates too.

I don't feel sick like to my stomach, but just some slight oddness with body temp and overall feeling.

Do you think this is directly from eating the sausage?

I recall similar feelings like this before after eating various foods like BBQs and fried foods, hot dogs, etc. I'm now considering going to a nearby store to get some vitamin E and maybe orange juice and dairy for protein and vitamins to help ease it off.

Ate nothing else prior to it but some salted potatoes.
