I'll start. I am 60 yrs old. I have been wightlifting for 45 years and consuming either egg or whey protein shakes several times daily. As of the last two years I have to urinate within about 2-3 minutes of drinking protein but not other fluids. I found that by increasing my sodium intake by about a factor of two this need is remarkably diminished or eliminated. I have not found potassium to affect this at all. In fact, supplementing with potassium has had no discernable effects for me. I do train 6 days/week and do lift heavy.

I’ve been wondering if older people dry out, or if they get more wet with water water retention. I think Dr. Peat had something to say on this but I can’t remember where I saw it.
