@eat my peat @GodsHound @FitnessMike +1 for Graham's. I went to the USA and had symptoms of severe lactose intolerance whichever kind of milk I drank there; A2 only, grass-fed, raw, whatever; it didn't matter, I'd always have a horrible reaction. Came back home and have been pretty much fine with Graham's. I use the green top myself, big fan. When it's discounted (close to expiry date) it's often cheaper than the Sainsbury's stuff - they sell it in the one I go to.

Also, I think if you continue to do it yourself, adding another fruit to your orange juice if you press it at home can go a long way - I use pomegranate sometimes. You need a good press for that, though - some pomegranates are no joke.

I now have enough smoked oysters for the winter. Noticed sardines in brine in tescos for 40p/can. Is this a pufa too far?

I mentioned earlier in the thread about Lidl breakfast cereal not having iron added, well they are now 'improving' them by adding iron and vitamins.
They still have a few without, but I have a feeling that one by one they will ruin them all. ?

Good find - to save me time searching, can you remember the names of which ones don’t have added iron? Thanks!

These things are sooo good (for anyone who eats wheat and mufa). You can get them at Sainsbury's.

The only ingredients are:

Italian durum wheat flour (unfortified), water, extra virgin olive oil, salt.

The company also makes some other breads with the same minimal ingredients.

Want to revive the orange juice discussion. have researched into Sainsbury's as they only sell freshly squeezed OJ which is pasteurised. Have pinged them to try change their minds back to unpasteurised as tastes way better imo.

sucks because Sainsbury's is right next to my work so its super convenient to pick up milk and OJ for the day.

tried calculating the difference to just buy a wholesale box of oranges and juice it myself but I would get 70-80 oranges for around £19 and it would equate to like £3.50 a litre.

anyhow, anybody got any good unpasteurised orange juices, aside from Waitrose? might have to start up a company selling freshly squeezed unpasteurised, haha.
The Sainsbury's near me has the 'Taste the Difference' range of freshly squeezed orange juice. It's really good.

Thanks. I'm looking into this. What's so special about it?
I just see it as a good store cupboard sugar for winter when the fresh fruit is rubbish. Still got half an eye of potential supply chain disruption too. Much more nutritious than refined table sugar.

If you shop at Sainsbury’s regularly and have a nectar card it’s worth using the SmartShop app in store. It gives you some decent discounts on the stuff you buy regularly plus you get the points etc. I just use it on my phone. Some examples attached. Decent saving when buying 12L of goat milk this morning!
