There is more to regulation of blood sugar than insulin. Potassium is likely the most important and makes the importance of insulin seem insignificant.
If iv glucose causes blood clotting then you should be permanently "clotted". Does not seem like that is the case despite a lot of sugar running through my veins at least.
Cells can also uptake sugar at place so the organs are not vital either to allow a living condition ... you could bath in sugar and (at least the outer) cells may take it up, especially wounded cells.
