More like the act of viewing naked women for the sake of pleasure seemed off-putting. Have you ever played too much of a particular video game and had no desire to continue playing?

I find I have a similar reaction whenever I take DHT or related substances.

Very interesting info! I pm-ed haidut about 11-keto DHT, but no response. It seems like stress and social isolation reduces the activity of 5-ar, and this seems to increasingly appear as a central player in depression and addiction: quite possible the central player.

Porn/masturbation is definitely not good for you at all (especially in the long-term) except for its short-term stress reducing benefits.

Not saying I'm against pleasure. Most pleasure is good for you. But orgasm hormonally + neurochemically is terrible for you.

Did you have normal sex or wet dreams during that period? I suspect that the benefits of Nofap are due exclusively to a lack of orgasm... which is disappointing.

On a lowered fat intake porn becomes uninteresting, some people would report lack of libido as a result of low fat (and it's possible) but it could also be that what we think as healthy sex drive today (more is better) is not.

It is the same thing as when someone used to run on stress hormones take something that lowers them. They become really tired and say...hell...what the heck is thus substance ?

It happened to a friend of mine who's doctor gave him mirtazapine as a sleep aid. He said he became soooooo sleepy the day after, he never took it again. I tried to explain him the thing about he was running on stress hormones and stuff but... it was not useful.

Same thing with sex, give some stress lowering substances to someone who is used to fantasize about porn every day and wanting to have sex many times per day and they will feel you are castrating them.

80 days is a long time without morning wood, sexual desire or porn, even more so for a young male. I'd not say I was addicted , at some point I started getting bored with porn as I watched it (could not continue), it did not get me off and I did not seek more hardcore stuff like is usually described, I just stopped, so afai can see I don't fit the standard "Porn addict" description.

For me, when my metabolism is good, I also feel porn much less interesing. It reached a point where not even I found it uninteresting I found it kind of disgusting. I mean... the disgusting feeling came aturally, not trying to force to not view porn and autoconvince myself. But if I get really stressed (specially emotionally), isolated or whatever, apetence for porn starts to rise again.

Seems to match my experience. I've noticed that after huge meals (probably too much proteins, carbs and fats at once) the desire grows and fades quickly. Still, the line between unhealthy drive to fap and not having a drive at all (e.g. no morning wood or night tumescence) can be thin.

It's that it built a really strong pressure on my abdominal area, like the sexual energy was stuck there and was pushing up my viscera because there was a block. Happened after 15 days or so (no sex either). I can only explain it in terms of TCM/Taoism, like the chi couldn't flow because of a blockage and it was putting a lot of pressure on the viscera. I started to have digestion problems and cracked tongue. For me I think the ideal nofap is kind of once every 4-5 days without porn.

It is the popular belief among the Nofap community that self esteem issues and low status are caused by physiological responses to frequent orgasm.

I would think these things would not be caused by chronic masturbation but that chronic masturbation would be the result of low self esteem and low status. That's how I see it anyways.

I'd think so too and the experiences of the last few members of this thread ( me included) corroborate this idea , when metabolism , diet, and quality of the environment improve there's no desire to waste time getting off to a past recorded video of people having real sex, at least not until the bucket is full and it feels more positive to have an orgasm than not to. This being said, I do not see the need for self punishment and guilt that seems to often come up in the nofap commmunity, it probably gives too much importance to the symptom.
