I find that I get distracted/antsy if I do not masturbate or have sex 1-2 times a week. Sex feels more satisfying than masturbation.

what harm would it do? all of the masturbation is healthy stuff is completely false, ive done the research into it, there is nothing proving masturbation or orgasms to do anything, like "clearing out toxins" from your prostate, seriously wtf?
So, instructions for "cleaning up the pipes" everyday for cardiovascular benefits by some docs are just broscience ?

Pretty much... there was a study that was done that I think all this comes from, where it showed older people who said how often they masturbated in the last 20 or 30 years, then they correlated that data with current health. If you can find another study for it, I'm all open to see... I have read pretty much everything on it around 3 or 4 years ago, I don't have references to the studies due to it being on an old computer, but I'd have to look around for the studies that people always reference, but they are not showing truth.

According to me, i would be happy with once every 8 days (due to 145 % T spike on 7th day) but i start getting weird brain fog,disorientation , disturbed sleep and paradoxically lower libido in just 4 days. Do you also encounter this ?

Yeah I agree with Dante, I believe a study shows a massive peak in testosterone levels around the 7th day, but then it drops a lot.. I would guess based on this once a week would be ideal.... Possibly 2x weekly if it involves sex...

i thnk the cortisol gets screwed up from it somewhere... i think when you "edge", your cortisol starts to shoot up from the adrealine.. probably you can handle it, but in a hypothyroid state.. it can get bad quick.. if you look on reddit.com/r/nofap , you can see more deep sleep being one of the big benefits, especially people note they start having dreams

i don't edge, what i get is most likely withdrawal symptoms(drop in dopamine, GABA, high CRF and norepinephrine in brain), by 4th day , i literally get parkinson's and flu-like symptoms :)(my T levels are actually just 470 on a scale of 250-820)
the deep sleep benefits come after 50-60 days. You might be right about the cortisol part, may be i have had high cortisol which i was masking via this

And whats so great about those studies and what they are showing....nothing( i came across tons of studies but all are nonsense ...and not just about this thing)...

They measured testosterone and what??What happened to other hormones in the body.,..what happened to brain and stimulation for life... Where are daily activities, excercise,food, sleep, stimulating conversations with girls/womans....

they need to track all this for much longer periods to have some at least reasonable conclusions....and that is not possible or very hard to track...

...and even then i bet that results would be so diffrrent from case to case that it would only make you confused

If someone just forget about internet porn and start to live stimulating life then he will sense when he need to have sex, masturb/ejaculation( not at front of screen watching sick pornography) and so on....

There is no harm from fapping. You won't die young. The real problem is forgoing greater pleasure. Any hand job from a woman is ten? times better than what a man would do for himself. If the woman is willing to learn, then her hand job will be 100? times better than what a man could do for himself. This is true even if the woman isn't especially attractive, all she needs is a good attitude. The real underlying problem is establishing a good relationship with a woman, not the fapping. Fapping results from not having a compatible woman to take care of a man's needs.

They are approaching this from the wrong angle entirely. Exposure and overexposure to sexual stimuli increases the desire to have sex but in a way that is impulsive and induces anhedonia. Sex is very stimulating for the reward system but leads to dopamine receptor downregulation when overdone. This means that activities less stimulating than sex will be less appealing. Eventually sex or porn will also become less rewarding but everything else will be joyless thus it is the only thing that satisfies you. On top of this ejaculation decreases androgen receptors in the brain and increases estrogen receptors. This leads to hyper sexual impulsive behavior that further continues the negative cycle. In such a state one's sexual desire is at a all time high however their enjoyment of sex and everyday life is at an all time low. People are not addicted to porn because it lowers their sex drive, they are addicted because sex has a positive feedback loop.

is this the reason why people escalate to harder and extreme categories due to densensitization over vanilla/softcore?
