They are approaching this from the wrong angle entirely. Exposure and overexposure to sexual stimuli increases the desire to have sex but in a way that is impulsive and induces anhedonia. Sex is very stimulating for the reward system but leads to dopamine receptor downregulation when overdone. This means that activities less stimulating than sex will be less appealing. Eventually sex or porn will also become less rewarding but everything else will be joyless thus it is the only thing that satisfies you. On top of this ejaculation decreases androgen receptors in the brain and increases estrogen receptors. This leads to hyper sexual impulsive behavior that further continues the negative cycle. In such a state one's sexual desire is at a all time high however their enjoyment of sex and everyday life is at an all time low. People are not addicted to porn because it lowers their sex drive, they are addicted because sex has a positive feedback loop.

Any thoughts on how to commit to nofap effectively? I cant seem to go more than a few days. Without installing a program like k9, because that seems to block much more than adult sites and can very potentially become frusturating.

Doing a quick workout or taking a cold shower when the urge hits is a good method. Also releasing tons of energy throughout the day by being active and productive helps. According to eastern ideas you need to transmute the sexual energy to other areas of your life else one can become very sexually frustrated (and obsessive over sex).

Another thing I noticed when I tried nofap... It's that it built a really strong pressure on my abdominal area, like the sexual energy was stuck there and was pushing up my viscera because there was a block. Happened after 15 days or so (no sex either). I can only explain it in terms of TCM/Taoism, like the chi couldn't flow because of a blockage and it was putting a lot of pressure on the viscera. I started to have digestion problems and cracked tongue. For me I think the ideal nofap is kind of once every 4-5 days without porn.

I would think these things would not be caused by chronic masturbation but that chronic masturbation would be the result of low self esteem and low status. That's how I see it anyways.
I think it is a positive feedback loop. Low self esteem and status cause chronic masturbation. And then the chronic masturbation reinforces the low self esteem and status.

For me it was exactly like the link I posted previously says. Like a very big ammount of energy boiling and trapped in a small kettle.

nofap definitely help with the process of healing.
we take supplements and eat healthy foods so we want to use those nutrients to nourish the body through semen retention as in easter medicine they believe the energy from the root chakra go up to the crown and all the organs benefits from this energy/nutrients.
so far it's been just a week and I'm definitely feel less brain fog, more confident and beard grow thicker.
I'll keep updated

almost two month on it and feel great definitely more confident and social but still some up and down due to my health issue that I'm trying to heal with peat diet.
for me is mostly digestion and hypothyroid and in the nofap community some people claim they are connect with the chronic masturbation.

Estroban = low circulating estrogens = low sexual urges = going on no fap without even realizing you're going on nofap.

With my estrogen low the only time I feel sexual urges is when I see a sexually stimulating females or pictures. Which is ironic because back when I was fapping I didn't really get much from looking at hot chicks.

you are on point keep estrogen low help a lot on nofap.
I remember when I was experimenting with pansterone I was always horny but in a stressful state now I'm going in the opposite direction with low estrogen sometimes I need a bit of dhea for balance the low libido

I don't understand the praising on Pansterone either, being always horny is horrible because thats what it causes. I sometimes get the impression people here are only interested in peatish diet/supplementation to even out their overly hedonistic lifestyle. No porn, masturbation and not over focusing on orgasm during sex is the way to go if you want to know what it is like to be sane, at least for men.

White button mushrooms, K2 MK4, E, D, A, Aspirin, Caffeine is the way to go.

But wouldn't that mean the Pansterone (specifically the DHEA) is converting to Estrogen? This is not good, so maybe Pansterone is not for that person then.

Yes I have that impression. I am lean 10-11% body fat, use wbm, ADEK vitamines, etc. but still the conversion is way too high in favor of Estrogen (I used 2,5 mg DHEA and 2,5 mg Pregnenolone topically SFA Ester solution).

DHEA is useful as soon as I start to experience dry joints I know my estrogen are too low

Although I have low estrogen symptoms like very low sexual desires, etc. I never experienced joint pain even though I lift heavy and so on.

post orgasm dip can be very severe. It can be mild sometimes.

Much worse in the Winter time.

Much worse if you push for the orgasm. If the orgasm just happens the post-O is usually better.

I just hate this post-O feeling. Sometimes it's fine, but the last time it was awful. Just this moody, angry and empty feeling.

Since this is a no-fap thread I'll give you my conclusions on that part. I stopped masturbating years ago, and have never done it since, and the reason it's easy is that I am in a committed relationship and we have a lot of sex, more than I've ever had in my past. We do a lot of naked cuddling and physical affection, and all this makes it very easy not to masturbate. I avoid porn and avoid porn triggers. I look away from sex scenes in movies and TV, and avoid anything that feels sexually exciting. You have to be vigilant on triggers, because the sexual hormone spikes for about 30 minutes and you'll feel like masturbating. Avoiding the triggers resets the brain, and lets you enjoy real sex with a partner, and not want to masturbate.

Has anyone read Wilhelm Reich's work? I see enormous parallels between his work and Peat's work, and I think Peat is strongly influenced by him. Reich is strongly pro masturbation/sex and says that avoiding orgasm makes you rigid and more submissive to authority. I notice that whenever I abstain from orgasm, I start getting obsessive symptoms and headaches, and my muscles get extremely stiff and tense. But at the same time, I feel a loss of energy after orgasm. My memory gets worse, I get circles under my eyes, etc. It's like damned if I do, damned if I don't. I'm not sure what to do. I think nofap may not be good for you if you don't have enough GABA.
