Here's The Frustrating Reason Only One Side of Your Nose Gets Blocked at a Time
Was researching why I feel my left nostril functions less effectively than the other. Seems to be clogged more often and the sense of smell seems to be worse. It's been like this for years (on and off) and seems to highly correlate with endotoxin inducing foods. One of which is tortilla chips cooked in palm oil, though saturated, it still seems to not be gut friendly, at least for me.
Saw some research before on loss of smell in the left nostril being a "sign"/correlated to dementia. I think this is because of bad sleep habits as things always run smoother when proper sleep is had. Think about how people sound when they are hung over, often congested, with a hoarse voice. back sleeping (possibly because of the tendency of this position to induce mouth breathing) seems to initiate some of these bad sleep, cognition and congestion issues.
just thinking out loud, thought it was interesting.
