Now that CDC recognizes the protective effect of prior infection, it is time to update vaccination policies and school or work-entry requirements across federal and state or county governments.

This article is simply damage control because they refuse to take into account Covid infections within 14 days of vaccination, which are simply astronomical.

I've known many people around me who contracted Covid immediately after vaccination.

There is little discussion about herd immunity. In a post-peak omicron world, herd immunity can no longer realistically be used to get people to take the jab. Any discussion of herd immunity can only hurt efforts to vaccine for future variants. After all, it is the people who have natural immunity that are more likely to have protection moving forward.
