I've been on testosterone for several weeks in the past (200mg testosterone propionate eod), and am currently on another indefinitely (80-120mg test ace daily).
Apart from the cure (about 700ng/dl of testosterone) my perspiration has a rather acid smell, but under high doses of testosterone it becomes much more "firm", more "organic" and curiously close to the smell that remains on the sportswear (after anaerobic exercise?)
How to explain this? Would testosterone change the preferred energy substrate of skeletal muscle by changing metabolic waste products or is it just a much oilier/sebum-rich sweat? or something like that.

Maybe it is excess estrogen causing the change is smell?

“According to the study authors, a small proportion of the testosterone made by men is usually converted into estrogen by aromatase – a type of enzyme. The higher the testosterone level in a man, the more testosterone is converted into estrogen.”

“As noted above, low-dose testosterone treatment may help raise libido for some women, but it can also cause facial hair to grow. In contrast, when testosterone is administered at constantly high doses (equivalent to male levels), it can have major masculinizing effects: It can lead to baldness, can cause the pitch of one’s voice to deepen, and may increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases—all features of males.”
