Dr. Ellie Phillips points out that changes in hormones often cause peridontal disease in women. I know I got it when I started menopause. It came on pretty quickly. I went to a periodontist for a year but the best help came from working on my metabolism and following Dr. Ellie's protocol. My teeth aren't perfect but they are in much better shape. The periodontist was pretty rough and I don't think it helped. I think my gum inflammation was related to my hormones and gut.
What hormones did you change specifically to see results on teeth?

My gum problems started when my progesterone dropped and I had a lot of estrogen. Doing all the Peat things to lower estrogen made a big difference. I don't use thyroid or progesterone but I imagine they might help some people.
