I already ordered my DHEA supplement. 60 tabs of 50mg.

Effect of oral DHEA on serum testosterone and adaptations to resistance training in young men. - PubMed - NCBI

Study says it doesn't really do anything so I am not scared of side effects.

If I have a big intake of cholesterol and take DHEA would I get slight increase in testosterone?
Or more importantly DHT?

Or is it all a joke

Did you read the study thoroughly? It did not increase testosterone significantly which means there was no relevant increase. Androstenedione will mainly be converted to estrone. Oral DHEA is not advisable for DHT increase, only topical DHEA will have a positive effect. If you want to increase DHT and testosterone try to increase 5AR and lower cortisol to some extent. You will find more than enough information in this forum how to do so.

If you want to increase DHEA at that age, take (chelated/TRAACS) magnesium. Magnesium oil spray can also be used topically as a deodorant.
