Some additional studies on T3 and its up regulating of androgen receptors and down regulating estrogen receptor.

We know about T3 and anabolic effects with dhea and pregnenolone
Is anybody using this kind of protocol for anabolic effect with success? (No estrogen blockers)
In theory does this mean we could elevate Dht along with receptors a bit more?

Thyroid hormone modulates androgen and oestrogen receptor content in the Sertoli cells of peripubertal rats. - PubMed - NCBI

"Neither of the hormones tested seemed to affect the AR content in the nucleus significantly, while the in vitro addition of testosterone or T3 or both hormones together augmented the ARs in the cytosol to a greater extent, resulting in an increase in their total (cytosolic and nuclear) content in the cells. The present data suggest that T3 down-regulates ERs and up-regulates ARs in peripuberal Sertoli cells. The additive effect of testosterone and T3 in up-regulating ARs could possibly involve a role for T3 in influencing the androgen responsiveness of the Sertoli cells during spermatogenesis".

Direct regulation of androgen receptor-associated protein 70 by thyroid hormone and its receptors.

The expression of androgen receptor messenger RNA is regulated by tri-iodothyronine in lizard testis
In in vivo experiments, injection of T3 to male lizards, captured during the recrudescence period (March) and maintained under experimental photothermal conditions (24°C and 15 h daylight), increased the expression of AR mRNA. The in vitro results confirmed the stimulatory effect of T3 on AR mRNA levels. Thus, in testosterone (T) exposed cells, the highest values of AR mRNA were observed in T3-primed animals, indicating that T and T3 increase AR gene transcription independently. The present data suggest that, in lizards, the combined action of androgens, estrogen and T3 might regulate testicular activity, modulating AR mRNA levels.

Would you infer that topical T3 applied on face would have progressive masculinizing effects ?

I'm not sure their is much effect topically, I believe Peat said somewhere it may have local effects,it's better orally he reckoned.
masculine effects from topical I doubt it, it would probably take time for masculine facial changes from correcting hormones, possibly 1-2 years of spot on hormones, limited stress hormones. Even then some aspects can't be changed.

Does this mean t3 alone is suffecient to increase androgen receptors or testosterone in combination to t3 is the onlyvway to increase the amount of androgen receptors?

I think so as there’s noted 8 fold increase in dht from slight hyper thyroid activity
