Thanks man!Niacinamide May Prevent Melanoma
About 2 years ago an Australian study hit frontpage news. It found that ingesting 1g niacinamide daily significantly reduced the risk of non-melanoma skin cancers. Vitamin B3 Prevents And Reverses Skin Cancer Now, a new study and a review found that the same dose of niacinamide may work for...raypeatforum.com
Anti-histamines May Prevent, Treat Melanoma
About 2 years ago I did a post discussing the hypothesis that melanoma is an endocrine tumor, similar to breast cancer - i.e. driven by estrogen. In fact, if one has the time to dig into the published literature on all known malignancies, it quickly becomes apparent that virtually all cancers...raypeatforum.com
Vitamin D May Stop Melanoma Growth
A great study that corroborates my recent post on avoiding sunlight being as bad for health as smoking a pack of cigarettes a day. After all, without sunlight there won't be much vitamin D synthesis and supplementation is not effective for many people due to variety of factors including excess...raypeatforum.com
PUFA/Statins Promote UV Damage & Skin Cancer (melanoma), Cholesterol Is Protective
Several people asked Peat over email about the dangers of sun exposure. He responded by saying that the main danger is the lipid (PUFA) perodixation caused by the UV lights and that taking some aspirin, vitamin E, or niacinamide greatly reduces the damage. The study below confirms that PUFA may...raypeatforum.com
PUFA Increases Risks Of Skin Cancers
As the study says - not total fat but its composition in the diet is what drives (skin) cancer risk. And as expected, PUFA "shines" once again. What is particular good about this study is that it exposes both omega-6 and omega-3 as cancer-promoting. Omega-3 has been the defense of last resort...raypeatforum.com

Yeah I think so - the issue with vit E is that according to some studies it could theoretically increase the risk of prostate cancer. IIRC there was a discussion on this forum about this topic.Just a thought, but shouldn't vitamin E help in theory (both orally and topically)?
Lathering unsaturated fat topically on your skin? Doesn’t this go against everything this forum advocates?Topical sesame oil and pomegranate extract seem to be promising according to some studies.
That's for sesamol. Just look at it on pubmed .Lathering unsaturated fat topically on your skin? Doesn’t this go against everything this forum advocates?
There is a new supplement out which was even recommended by my Derm....it's called Heliocare and it's made from Ferns.... I use the Heliocare that has added Nicotinamide in it (B3) which is a form of Niacin. It is supposed to help prevent skin cancer and I have dealt with that all my life due to Irish heritage.... I noticed a change in my skin within 2 weeks (smoother and AKs flattening out) and Derm said it will help the skin to NOT BURN in the sun from the inside out... I also take ValAsta, the patented form of Astaxanthin, the most potent antioxident that $$ can buy. Good Luck.Hi guys,
is there any supplement that, according to research, could help in preventing melanoma and skin cancer?
I've seen that astaxanthin is sometimes advised, but I know that it has anti-androgen side effects.
Any ideas?
Thanks
