Despite it being in America, I order 99% of supplements from iherb. Shipping to UK is $6. I often find it is cheaper to get it from there than from a UK site. Make sure to keep the order below roughly £22

Thanks. I checked there because iHerb is often advised, but it is out of stock on iHerb too. Actually, on a few other US companies it is also out of stock!

Anyone in the UK know where to get canning salt? I find it really difficult. Wherever I go, it's with anti-caking agent (sodium ferrocyanide). The Morton Canning mentioned on Amazon is no longer available. On eBay, the shipping prices from the USA (it's heavy) is really expensive.

Only place I can think of is a continental supermarket, they are my go to places for finding things I can get in other shops such as decent coconut oil. Next time I go I'll try to look for good salt.

Hey guys this is my first post, I've been browsing the forum for some time now though. Just thought I'd chime in with some product recommendations as I'm in the UK too. Here's a vitamin A supplement which appears to be identical to Nutrisorb A:

Biocare Vitasorb A 2500iu

For magnesium you can get a transdermal magnesium spray like this one. Or the same company sell magnesium chloride flakes which you can add to baths.

Better You Magnesium Oil

You can get liquid D3 from various brands. Here's one in a sublingual spray form.

Better You DLux 1000iu

Regarding progesterone, is there anything wrong with using NatPro cream or is it inferior to Progest-E? Link: http://buynaturalprogesterone.co.uk/
Info:

Natpro is 100% Organic and contains the following

It has a concentration of 3.33% progesterone or 33.33 milligrams per ml of cream
Each tube comes with a full instructional pamphlet

Each tube contains :

2000mg Natural Progesterone
de-ionised water
caprylic/capric triglyceride
cetearyl olivate/sorbitan olivate
Aspen bark extract
vitamin E

Finally, what's wrong with using white sea salt, like Maldon, instead of canning salt?

Oh and here's a couple of sources for Great Lakes gelatin in the UK.

Great info, thanks and welcome Daisyjane. I think someone here has mentioned that just normal UK table salt is OK to use, sorry but can't remember who or for what reason???

I used to get mine for 10.95 euros/200 ml at the local organic food store, so for me that meant big savings, shipping included...:)

I wonder how important is it for it to be "organic"?

I haven't check the local Asian markets, thanks for the idea!

I found here Progest-e, Great Lakes gelatin (hydrolyzed) and coconut oil. There are other goodies as well:

I get coconut oil from my local asian supermarket, £2 for 500ml. That site sells 690g for £10.95.

Yes I get mine from same sort of place, KTC brand for about £2.29, along with the tubs of rasmalai (indian milk solids in sugary milk.. delish) Asian shops rock !!!x

Hey Chris, what brand is this? That sounds like good value!

I once rang KTC to find out if they were organic, and they told me that although they weren't certified, the only pest-killers they used were owls (to catch rodents I think) :)

IIRC, Ray Peat has said that most coconut trees are grown organically.

The only thing I'd add is that I've found the organic stuff to be better tasting, in general. Some of the cheap coconut oil I've tried has had a plastic kind of taste.

You can get Life Extensions one from Amazon.co.uk I think. It doesn't have too many added ingredients so its a good compromise. But the only one I know of without added ingredients is the one from Beyond A Century (USA).

Beebop - I have the Beyond a Century brand, the one Peat has spoken about I believe.

http://www.beyond-a-century.com/Pregnen ... p_600.html

I know it says not available for shipment outside the US but I got some with zero problems to England.

If it helps, the supermarket I get coconut oil from is called "CC Continental Supermarket."

Beebop, you may also consider

http://www.health-energy-fitness.co.uk/ ... egnenolone

One is with sodium and lecithine, plus a bunch of other composants -- the "continuous release" version from Designs for Health, and the other one has glycerin and alcohol (the micronized oral version from BioMatrix)

Just thinking out loud here, the controlled release might be a more interesting option... It might "rob" you of immediate effects reported elsewhere ("face lift effect", etc.) -- but that might turn out to be a blessing, since during the day it's less risky that you transform a big quantity of it into cortisol or some other unpleasant stuff? My :2cents
