That was a sad documentary. It seemed like all he had was his discus throwing, without any true close relationships. Poor guy died of pancreas cancer at 64. Well he still holds the Swedish world record.

it's one of the best documentaries i've seen. bruch clearly had some sort of compulsive disorder, for which seems to have found a productive outlet..

Maybe there weren't as many fillers in those years. I'm sure if he got intestinal upset he would have noticed it and cut down. Or maybe he had super-human digestion and those fillers didn't bother him.
