hmmmm

Considering that DHT is basically useless to build muscle in humans, that Haidut is bald and fat anyway, that many of the ‘high saturated fat for testosterone’ end up bald and fat... I’ll probably pass on their interpretation of the fatty acid vs DHT/5ar data. Serum levels of androgens do NOT predict gains in any way shape or form.

that said, eating more condensed dietary cholesterol (ie. eggs) does make sense. Gironda was all about them, and Ziegler too.

Your comments on his appearance, whether accurate or not, have absolutely nothing to do with the study he referenced.

Haha yeah, it could work in the short-term, but in the long run you’d end up castrating yourself.

Thorough depletion of linoleic acid leads to testicular degeneration in male cats, and arachidonic acid depletion leads to incapacity for live birth in female cats, stressing the notion of total depletion, which should be avoided:

https://www.researchgate.net/profil...production-and-Spermatogenesis-in-the-Cat.pdf

ABSTRACT The inability of the cat to convert significant quantities of linoleate
[18:2(9,12)] to arachidonate [20:4(5,8,11,14)] in the liver makes the cat a useful model
for studying the specific physiological roles of these two fatty acids. In these studies,
cats were fed purified diets that were either deficient in essential fatty acids (EFAs)
or that provided linoleate with or without arachidonate. Male cats that were fed the
EFA-deficient diet for approximately 2 years exhibited extensive degeneration of the
testes, and the fatty acid composition of testes changed in a manner consistent with
EFA deficiency. Linoleate prevented testis degeneration. Levels of arachidonate,
22:4n6, and 22:5n6 were higher in testis phospholipids of cats supplied with linoleate
than in the deficient cats, indicating that the testis of the cat has the capacity to
desaturate and elongate linoleate. In contrast, female cats that were fed diets lacking
arachidonate were unable to bear live kittens, whether linoleate was provided in the
diet or not. Arachidonate, supplied by oral supplements of ethyl arachidonate or by
animal fat in the diet, significantly improved reproduction. Thus, linoleate appears
to meet the requirements for spermatogenesis in males, but dietary arachidonate is
essential for adequate reproduction in female cats.

Haidut seems to be pretty stocky, with slight ectopic fatinsulation, and not being truly fat or obese; pretty sure he would lean out nicely if he tried.

I didn’t know Haidut posted his pic on here. Unless he appears in videos on YT.

i saw 2 videos with him, in one he discussed with some dude, in the other with peat and roddy; in one of them, you could see his upper body, and he looks like the bulgarian strong guy he is, stocky, but not obese.

Wow, so he met RP in person? I didn’t know they were this tight.

reduction of the effect of cortisol is what muscle building requires. The protein synthesis etc effects of anabolics is secondary. If you have naturally high dht it probably is in response to severe ongoing stress, offsetting estrogen's effects. If you increase anabolics/androgens by supplementing without the underlying stress, you will see results.

This is why DHT is associated with balding, the severe fascial tension stresses the tissue, and estrogen and DHT are elevated, at least locally.

Are you a cat? Do you die unless you get significant amounts of taurine in your diet? Don't make ridiculous conclusions from different species. A carnivore like a cat would be uniquely adapted to take signals and live on what meat contains, and especially in what they eat, rodents, birds and bugs that is highly unsaturated.

Maybe i am a cat? The same was reported for mice and/or rats also. Maybe we rpf - cats need exogenous taurine also, to not degenerate, because we are indeed cats with balding fur - cappies. Humans seem to thrive only on high amounts of animal substance, just like obligate or at least facultative carnivores do. But this study still does not go against the notion of very low PUFA intakes, but maintains that they are indeed essential, at low amounts, and that total depletion is not mitigated by B6 or such, and has harmful consequences. I know Peat's stance on it, but he could never make a conclusive case against the essentiality of PUFA, but name the unwanted and undesirable attributes of unsaturates, which are numerous and true. Still no proof of polyunsaturates in being unphysiologic and toxic materials; All animal brains are full of them also.
