There are new and potentially serious concerns for people who use plastic plates.

New research out of Taiwan suggests eating hot food on plates or out of bowls made of Melamine could increase your risk of developing kidney stones.

The study shows heat increases the amount of melamine released into the food.

The plastic has previously been linked to kidney stones.

I wonder if this is related to the loss of potassium that follows estrogen use.

I wonder if silicone's dangerous. Dr. Peat's mentioned that it can provoke an immune response if its used as a lubricant for condoms or as in breast implants, but it's a different context if you use a silicone pancake turner, or particularly a cold interaction with a spatula and batter (for instance).
