I've been noticing this for some time now. Eating a Starch (potato or rice) and fat (coconut oil/butter) meal will send me to sleep.
This isn't a problem when I eat starch without the added fat. It usually doesn't happen when I ingest sugar (coke, OJ, etc)
Why does eating starch+fat force me to take a nap?

Well, I guess it could be a good thing
if you wanted or needed to take a nap.

Have you noticed what it does to your temps and pulses?

It either eating too much and the liver needs to shut everything else done to do its work

    or

The fuel is now being sufficiently supplied by the food so the adrenals can step down.

That's very possible, I'll have to keep an eye on my salt consumption.

Ray likes a moderate protein intake. People think when he says a high carb mean he means much higher carbs to protein.
