how do people on low/no starch who don't tolerate milk proteins hit enough calories? seems like all those missing starch calories are hard to replace

fruits don't have much calories apart from avocados (mostly fat calories not replacing much carbs). what other foods are good for replacing starch calories?

Sugar, honey and fruit paired with proteins is a good base, but here are some of my many starch less foods….

nice, yeh for carbs i guess only replacement is more sugars, those marshmallows are a creative way to change sugar intake form. honey has some nice properties. forgot about nut butters too good for calories. ty

Oh I should have mentioned I make the peanut butter with defatted peanut powder and coconut oil. Here in the recipe for it on page 1 of my “Peaty Sweets & Sauces” thread.

i personally tolerate very ripe bananas really well and a large one has about 120 kcal which i blend with dates which have 60-80 calories each despite how small they are. very easy to get enough calories with dates and raisins. in the past i have also made a banana bread with butter eggs mashed bananas chopped dates and coconut flour to bind. delicious and very calorific

Freeze-dried fruit, particularly freeze-dried apples, cherimoya, dragonfruit, mangoes and peaches, are another good calorie source if you like crunchy foods. Also young Thai coconut meat. I ate a pound (454 g) of it daily, during the years I followed a fruitarian diet. I used to like adding salt to it. I ordered it from this company:
