Spermidine Vs. Wheat Germ Granules? Is the cost difference worth it?

I am always looking for a new longevity supplement to experiment with and the latest one is Spermidine. It seems that wheat germ is bound up in Spermidine. Spermidine is quite expensive and wheat germ, not so much. Could I get the same Spermidine like benefits from the Wheat Germ alone or is the difference in cost warranted?

I don't know a thing about Spermidine, but Ray Peat does not recommend wheat germ. I love the taste of it myself, but he experimented with it long ago and said it rotted his teeth.
