So Even BAYER Aspirin Has Toxins?

I found the regular enteric-coated aspirin from Bayer contains titanium dioxide and several other ingredients that @haidut mentioned to be harmful. This aspirin I'm using, as long as I found so far, is the only one that doesn't contain talc (it's Canada).

I'm curious what brand of aspirin people here use and wonder if there's even any brand out there that doesn't contain those toxins

Any suggestion for better products is highly appreciated.

Note that this fluctuates in price a lot--I got it for around 13 dollars.

There is also salicylic acid powder for sale. Is Acetyl salicylic acid powder better?

Salicylic acid I have tried a bit and it sure irritates the throat at ingestion.
Back in the day we used salicylic acid powder as a preservative for home made jams to stop fungus growth on top of it. Now it is not available at regular stores at all anymore and pretty much nowhere as far as I can see.

interesting, I actually bought some bayer aspirin yesterday (I have a either a cold or corona and I thought I might as well jump on the aspirin train), but mine is only labeled as containing corn starch and microcrystalline cellulose. Could be the difference between countries, I live in sweden.

What's the best Aspirin source folks are using? Gericare still? The animal powder without fillers tastes horrible. I'm not a diva and am almost finished with my container of this but its brutal.

I use Bayer's "Aspirin plus C", which is an effervescent tablet (usually I drink it dissolved in water, but sometimes I throw a tablet in my epsom salt foot bath). I can buy it in every German pharmacy (or online pharmacies).

One tablet contains:
- acetylsalicylic acid (400mg)
- ascorbic acid (240mg)
- sodium citrate
- sodium bicarbonate
- citric acid
- sodium carbonate

**** Ratiopharm is good. The only other ingredients are cornstarch and cellulose powder.

I have never seen a Bayer aspirin anywhere in europe contain titanium dioxide. It only show that a brand name means ***t.
