However, I do not think it is equivalent or fruitful to virtue smear something like a good winter coat. At least a Canada Goose coat does its job. The Harvard/Yale 250k price tag does not.

I think we have to be careful to not just fall into a have have-not mentality. That could destroy all culture.

I used to work for an R-fam person. The whole family went around in birkenstocks, moo-moos and carried dirty canvas totes. To virtue signal how simple they were. lolz (Yet bemoaned that artists should not want to volunteer their services for them. Hello. A good violin bow costs 15k$. But how would they know since they basically stole all their instruments).

Contrast that to the swede in NY state hills that builds his own home and buys a new volvo every 10 yrs. Has the same good fur coat for 30 yrs.

We can't crash the entire design industry and turn everything into a trailer park. Guilt peddling anyone who endeavours to uphold quality.
