Can't alkalize the blood in any meaningful long lasting way with an alkaline diet if metabolism is off. The cells slightly acidifying co2 production is what differentiates the minerals in and out of the cell. The cell should usually exclude sodium and calcium while retaining magnesium and potassium, that's what alkalizes the blood.

A health worker in Budapest ordered two boxes of horse-worm repellent (Ivermectin) from India last October for her own use, but never received the tablets because they were confiscated at the airport. The police nevertheless searched his house, detained him and prosecuted him for drug counterfeiting.

Four other health workers in the capital are also facing such proceedings. According to the BRFK (Police), the reason is that all of them "ordered from abroad a drug called ivermectin (Iverlast), which is not authorised in Hungary, for their own use", Telex was told.

The man concerned was increasingly afraid for his health because of his underlying medical condition and ordered the medicine from India. At the time, "neither vaccines nor medicines were available in primary care. People could not cure themselves at home. But the window of opportunity was critical for this disease, and even more critical for the new strains," he said.

Last year, word began to spread that the parasiticide ivermectin, used in veterinary medicine, was effective against coronavirus infection. In Hungary, too, the theory has become so popular that at the end of November the Nébih issued a statement warning people that it is not a good idea to take horseworm bait to combat the coronavirus, although it does not ban the use of the drug.

According to official technical opinion, the drug has hardly been tested on humans and proper dosing is sometimes impractical in humans. Based on the few studies that have been done, it is not yet possible to say whether the improvement in condition is due to the ivermectin. Yet many people, including national handball player Bence Bánhidi, were convinced that the drug worked for them.

The health worker was first told by the Hungarian Post Office (Magyar Posta) in November last year that the two boxes of medicine found in his parcel were illegal in Hungary, and was therefore expelled by the National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV). Shortly afterwards, the NAV informed the man that they had opened a procedure "to establish the legality of the importation of the consignment into the country" and that they would involve other authorities in the investigation. The prosecutor's decision was that the National Institute of Pharmacy and Food Safety (OGYÉI) the product is illegal in Hungary and the quantity is unjustified.

The man and his lawyer dispute this, as it is a total of two boxes, or 40 tablets, which he ordered for himself, so "there was no profit motive behind it", said Péter Enzsöl. According to the lawyer, it is also disputable that his client had obtained the drugs, as he had not even received them and the act remained experimental.

The possible effects of ivermectin have been under investigation ever since. This was announced by Minister of Human Resources Miklós Kásler in February this year. The last time we asked the Ministry of Human Resources (Emmi) about the state of the investigation was on 27 August. At the time, they replied that it was ongoing.

Yes, the cells will also become alkaline as a result of lactate. Which will actually make the blood pH even harder to maintain.
