“Eighty participants were assigned into four groups, with 20 patients in each group. Each patient was asked to take oral natural progesterone for 10 consecutive days. Patients in group A took 100 mg/d, once a day, at bedtime. In groups B, C, and D they took 200 mg/d, 300 mg/d, and 400 mg/d, respectively. And in these three groups, the medicine was devided into two to take, before breakfast and at bedtime. The oral progesterone used in this study was progesterone capsules from Zhejiang Xianju Pharmaceutical Co., China).”

According to the study, when BMI is in this range 18.5 kg/m(2) ≤ BMI < 24 kg/m(2), serum progesterone increases according to the following equation: Y = 8.4820×10(0.003X)
Y = increase of serum progesterone concentration in nmol/L
X = the dosage of oral progesterone in mg/d
