Serotonin Antagonist Effect On Serotonin Levels

Hello all,

In my quest to lower my overall serotonin levels, I was using serotonin antagonists because I thought they had this effect, but I don't feel a difference, and it's been a while.

My question is this:

Do these serotonin blockers simply prevent serotonin from being processed (eliminated) and ultimately end up increasing overall serotonin levels in the body?

Is Shilajit a serotonin blocker, or does it decrease serotonin? It increases dopamine, so wouldn't that naturally decrease serotonin?

Does anybody have any suggestions for remedies that actually lower serotonin levels?

I appreciate your advice.

You could try Ray Peat on that. He talks about it a lot. Try putting serotonin in the search box.

Bumping this because I have the same question

Do these serotonin blockers (cypro, aspirin) simply prevent serotonin from being processed (eliminated) and ultimately end up increasing overall serotonin levels in the body?
