Just 2 weeks into full semen retention and I feel amazing

Yes it is. Keeps Dopamine and Androgens Receptor levels high and Prolactin levels low. An ideal practice for productivity and motivation.

You can mostly avoid prostatic congestion by avoiding prolonged erections and edging. It is better to have a quick release without prolonged stimulation if you must or to have sex than to cause swelling which can take weeks to feel normal again and many months to reverse completely.

I think it's extremely unhealthy to supress your desires. Just unload when you're horny, however often / not often that may be. It's natural

Makes me believe all of those government-funded studies were bunk and published to make men weak

I’m convinced semen does reabsorb and has some protective effects on the prostate and testes specifically

Haha thanks but no thanks, I choose to have sex with my girlfriend as often as possible - and never felt weak after orgasming, either by masturbation or sex. Quite the contrary, to this day it's still the most beneficial thing for me. Very very healthy, but to each his own yeha

Since taking Ashwagandha, Tribulus, A D E K2 MK7, Tongkat Ali, L-Theanine, Zinc Picolinate, Selenium, Milk Thistle other androgenic pro metabolical herbs and supplements I feel less impacted negatively by orgasming/ejaculating and recover faster and regain libido, energy, and desire faster

I think most of those who feel affected the most by orgasming/ejaculating and feel very great on abstinence have some form of post-orgasmic illness syndrome either due to high histamine/prolactin/adrenaline/glutamate which gets worsened several times after orgasm or some issue with some organs/enzymes/neurotransmitters/hormone synthesis and detoxification or some autoimmune inflammatory reaction after orgasm

I have seen many guys being able to orgasm and feel the same afterward after they fixed their autoimmune/gut microbiome/glutamate/microglial cell/estrogen/prolactin/Testosterone issues that were behind their POIS symptoms all of the time along

You probably do not have one of the various metabolical/health/endocrinal imbalances that most nofappers/semen retainers/post-orgasmic illness syndrome havers share

There is a certain percentage of the population (from what I have observed like 0.3% maybe at the maximum (but the Internet making it easy to see all kinds of things in a more pronounced way can make it seem like all people feel that crappy after orgasming if one spends most of the time around such communities, so human psychological confirmation bias and information global easy accessibility is at the play once again) that have got some imbalances (there are not many official pieces of researches done on which specific health imbalances make some feel worse affected by orgasm than others so currently we mostly have experimental data from Post Orgasmic Illness Syndrome (P.O.I.S.) - Index and r/POIS and hypotheses that make the most common sense based on which supplements have worked and based on blood test changes observed before/after curing POIS

I am on semen retention, at least 600 days by now dont count every day atm but its better than any supplement I have ever taken, of course there are lows, but it is the closest thing to being on top off the world, Gods gift to man

The only time semen retention seems useful is when a young man lacks motivation to go out and look for a partner, and has no drive in life. And I can attest that it definitely works for this purpose. Once a partner is found, semen retention seems pretty stupid.

You didn't have that weird brain fog, short-term/working memory issues, fatigue each time you orgasmed? I always had those symptoms after each orgasm since I hit puberty and the older I get the longer and worse they seem to get, only when I was sick with the flu/cold/fever I could fap/orgasm with zero negative change afterwards, in fact, I felt pleasure and felt the same after as I did before

For single guys, this is crucial for practicing delayed gratification. It’s so easy to default to pornography/masturbation instead of improving oneself to become desirable to women. But retention is damn near impossible if your hormonal balance is way off. I’m still working on that myself.
