Seen a lot of talk recently about Irish sea moss, as recommended by Dr. Sebi.

Just searching it up gets you bombarded with thousands of positive reviews & experiences - surely not everyone can be placeboing this hard, right?

From inspection there doesn't seem to be anything special about it. People boast about it containing 92 minerals or whatever, but most of the nutrition it offers is in trace amounts, with the exception of iodine

Any idea on why this supplement is so widely promoted?

I think the whole-food-carrageenan-is-good argument is just a silly excuse. It will be broken down in the gut eventually and have similar effects

I wish I could find a clear answer on this.

The arguments in favour seem pretty valid to me.

No food is perfect and it seems carrageenan is a highly processed extract of it's less favourable properties. My only concern from the little research so far would be getting too much iodine if over using it
