I remember a KMUD interview where RP talked about Autoimmune diseases.
He mentioned that higher antibody count in some type of brain autoimmune
disease shows quicker recovery. Theory is that presence of antibodies shows
cleaning up after inflammatory damage. He uses similar reasoning in misdiagnosis of
Hashimoto autoimmune based on antibodies. There is a cross linking of antibodies
between Arthritis and Hashimoto thyroiditis.
One worrying thing about that study is that they used prednisone, which as an
immunosuppressive anti-inflammatory drug.
They probably would have gotten same result with prednisone without removing antibodies.
