Dr. David Kessler, author of The End of Overeating, On Why We Can't Stop Eating | HuffPost Life

and we all know that opiates decrease dopamine and increase prolactin.
like I told you a while ago in another topic , i never had sugar cravings in my life before i was start peating.
Before i was never eating sugary foods like milk, candy, fruits etc.
Then when start peating, my sugar cravings shoots to the roof.
Ray said: sugar cravings is a sign of hypothyroid.
Well i think with my experience that Ray is wrong and sugar is causing the cravings and makes it worse combined with fat.
Is there any study at all that says low thyroid cause sugar cravings?

edit: i think this must be in the anti-peat section, can someone remove this?

The link you posted was an advert for a book, disguised as an interview, on a "journalism" website.

With that being said I agree I got massive cravings when I started eating sugar, similar to you, that went when I cut it out . The talk about salt and fat causing overeating is just mainstream nonsense. They will just blame salt and fat for everything wrong in the world.

Of course salt and fat can cause overeating

just remove salt from cheese

or fat from ice cream

Or sauce from rice or pasta...

Duh... palatability.

What does the article have to do with opiates? Opiates aren’t mentioned at all.

Plus, just because sugar, salt, and fat taste good and our bodies want to eat them, doesn’t make them bad.
