Anyone know how salt can cause inflammation? Is it displacing calcium and trying to put it there or something? IF there is not enough calcium in circulation it can cause inflammation? Thanks for any input. I'm having a hard time finding out salt's exact effects on the body.

I notice after having salt my muscles will get stiff and I will feel inflammation from it. Then I just tried taking magnesium and it seemed to have subsided. Does salt grab all the magnesium and try to do something with it or something? It's very interesting, I'm not sure what is happening though.

Salt can irritate gut and it increases absorption of toxins from intestine.
If you have weak stomach lining then salt is a problem.

If your Aldosterone level is already high, sudden increase in salt intake
can cause edema and it takes few days for body to adjust to it.
