Vacuum cleaner to suck up the wasps, then just remove it. If you have chickens they love the larvae

When I lived in a southern state, we painted the underside of the soffits pale blue. Wasps perceive it as sky and do not seek to build their lodgings there.

We didn't want to resort to killing them, so we recently got rid of hornets who were building a nest in our wooden shack with smoke - we used moxas and frankincense incense for this purpose. Hornets obviously disliked the smoke and slowly moved out, then we closed all holes so they couldn't get back in and removed the nest.

Hornets yeow and shiver me timbers, now THATS a different sort of insect. Good job. Up here we have a recent years type have discovered how to burrow into earth to insulate and survive the winters. They post sentries not too far from the entrance, pheromones alert them to human presence and sentries chase you. There have been many unfortunate discoveries by lawnmower.
