Red Light For Skin While Sleeping

Has anyone considered having red lights in their bedroom to improve skin? You could turn them on at night and sleep wearing an eyemask (if the light is annoying).

Then the skin on the face (as the rest of the body will most likely be covered) will receive the red light.

The red light would not be really really close, but close enough that the red beams fall on the face while sleeping.

Would this be an overdose of red light? Would this even be effective?

In my experience with the effects of red light, the stimulation can be excessive if done for a long period of time. For example, if sitting in the sun for 3 hours during the summer, I need 1 to 2 liters of orange juice to avoid exhaustion. When doing red light my heart rate will typically sit in the 90s; if I were to sit in red light for the entire duration of a night time rest I feel the stress response could kick in without constant nourishment to meet demands of the increased metabolism.
