Hello.

I am new to Ray Peat ideas and while getting up to speed
I realized it would be easier to study them with a collection
of recordings, transcripts and summaries of Ray Peat interviews.

So I created just that:
* [interviews repository][1]
* [interviews channel on youtube][2]
* [interviews summary/transcript wiki][3]

And here is your [invitation][4] to join and contribute.

I hope it will be an improvement upon existing places, such as:
* [Master List – Ray Peat, PhD Interviews][5]
* [Dr. Raymond Peat on the Internet: a Collection of Articles and Interviews][6]
* etc.

since everyone can contribute to [github wiki pages][7].

Cheers!

Hello.

This is an update and a request.

I managed to produce first interview summary:
https://github.com/Ray-Peat/intervi...oid-Function---Gary-Null---Ray-Peat-(summary)

It takes 2 hours of work per 1 hour interview. I am sure you can do better.

Now you can not only bookmark the interview wiki + section page:
https://github.com/Ray-Peat/intervi...-Peat-(summary)#wiki-22m22s-rp-thyroid-levels
but also have a bookmark in the live interview youtube video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x6bxGBR1Sqs#t=22m22s

This should make discussions and material study much more simple and effective.

REQUEST:

1) please listen/read to the summary above
and verify/fix my work

2) there are only 68 more hours left.
can we find 68 people here to have all interviews
summarized before the end of the month? :):

Cheers.

I've had the same idea.

But considering context is everything when it comes to Ray, a VERBATIM transcript would be much more useful.

Of course it would take time ( more than i have).

So, if we can find 70 people or so willing to make a VERBATIM transcript, i'm willing to do my part.

great, thank you for your support.
we have templates for both the summaries and the transcripts - for each interview
https://github.com/Ray-Peat/interview/wiki/_pages

the argument of "not having time" is probably a mistake:
say, would you invest 1 year of your life learning this stuff to get 10 years of life back
or would you rather keep spending your life in what your call your "normal" mode and die soon?

Transcribing is not necessary to learn the information. I listened to dozens of hours of Peat's interviews and learned from them without transcribing a word.

I have seriously thought of transcribing myself ALL his interviews, or rather create a website with invitations for others to join in.

Ray is difficult to follow in many of his interviews, and a verbatim transcript would help a lot of non-english native people .

It's worth it, as is the assembling of all his newsletters.

I would gladly pay a reasonable sum to have them all, but this doesn't seem to be available for the moment.

well, it seems there are about 1000 people in all theses groups

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikip...ation/Raymond_Peat_(Biologist)#External_links

Peatarian.com, community forum
RayPeatForum.com, community forum (1190 members as of 2014-02-20)
Ray Peat Fans, facebook group (968 members as of 2014-02-20)
Ray Peat Inspired, facebook group (330 members as of 2014-02-20)

So I think finding motivated people for this project is just a matter of time.

A most excellent project, IMO. How about this, OP. (Can I call you pozo? It strikes me as a good, unique nickname, as long as it doesn't mean something offensive in a language I don't know).

You pick a recording for me to work on and post or PM a link to it. If I haven't made a good start in two weeks then it goes back into the queue and I look like a slacker.

It really is a good project!! I'll try to do my part.

Andrei,

I really want to help out with this project, I've only got a few things that bug me. Summaries of Ray Peat articles are, in my opinion, very hard to do as has been mentioned here before by another user. You really need to have the context and a verbatim transcript would indeed be a much better idea.

Also, I would like to point out that the Github might be according to computernerds "a very cool project" but I don't get it, it forms a barrier for me to start this project. Because it seems all gibberish at this moment in time and I really don't want to get myself to know the basics of the Github platform. It is way too scripty. This is the reason I haven't started making a verbatim transcript yet, it was too much a hassle.

If you manage to make another platform and we focus on verbatim, you can count me in! I hope you still have some motivation left..

Also, if other people are not willing to do the transcripting, maybe we could make a donation box for those members which the transcriptors get paid from by the amount of transcripts they made. That would be a big motivation.

If anyone makes a transcription and is more comfortable with the forum, they could just add a post with it to this thread and I'll copy it into the Github wiki. That's probably not ideal for the detailed interview format though.
