I knew I couldn't be the only one who routinely finds himself laughing while reading Dr. Peat's work. His writing is awesome. You can hear the disdain dripping from his pen when he talks about the medical landscape and corporate interests.

I read this last week at work and had to resist the urge to just start clapping at my desk.

its sarcastic, intelligent, and informative in a semi satirical way...yea I always find his articles and interviews to somehow have hints of comedy in them even though its hard to tell when and if he intends it, but I'm pretty sure he knows. Hes awesome cause hes always entertaining, never slow or boring or having anything filler, and its always extremely informative along the way

It's not just some medical students: Charlotte Gerson (bless her soul) has litterally taken aboard this cholesterol analogy and uses it to constantly warn people against eating cholesterol-rich foods.

She's also blaming cholesterol for blocking insulin receptors and causing type 2 diabetes.

Medical editors like to publish articles that reinforce important prejudices, even if, scientifically, they are trash. The momentum of a bad idea can probably be measured by the tons of glossy paper that have gone into its development. Just for the sake of the environment, it would be nice if editors would try to think in terms of evidence and biological mechanisms, rather than stereotypes.
