Hello there, independent thinking friends. If you be not cultists and slaves, I ask how you square your support of Peat with his sayings, though?

And furthermore, are Roddy and Haidut cultists for tolerating his Soviet dishonesty? Peat seems to view Khrushchev and Lenin and Trotsky as circumspect.

Who cares? He’s not forcing anyone to agree with him on anything

Peat is brain dead on politics, nothing new; his idea that the police is "infiltrated" by the KKK, which is at this point an entrapment based extension of the FBI and the ATF should be enough to discount him on that. The idea that "authoritarian" politics is bad is also completely beneath his intellect FWIW. For all that though he doesnt appear to actually be a stalinist and I'm not sure how "are these people cultists for tolerating..." is anything but more feminine social policing

Peat has "said" a lot of things.

Care to give an example?

Soviets were isolationists. That's far better then anything American Imperialism has been.

If you're not drunk on neocon koolaid, you should know this by now. Some of the most fervently anti-communists (Rothbard, Karl Hess, Ron Paul, etc.) have written about how America and British intelligent agencies were responsible for the cold war.

The Soviets were so withdrawn that were actually ripping up major railways in and out of their country. They were—quite literally—no threat at all.

Dr. Peat's an anarchist in the old sense of the word, so he holds sympathies toward Marxism because it purports to be a working-class movement.

Peat isn't a Stalinist, to suggest so is mental. Peat is clearly anti-authoritatian and Stalin, more than any other European 20th Century leader was the epitome of authoritarianism. Murderous authoritarianism on a scale never seen before (until Mao) in the history of the world. Peat is an old guy that answers emailed medical queries from strangers for free.

This thread seems to be full of bots, or just listening challenged people. In the latest interview they again touch on this subject, and RP argues how the soviet system was infiltrated by the west and it led to their fall, and now it is just another facade for the NWO.

I wonder who implanted these delusional ideas into your heads, especially user snacks with your language without any solid argument to support your hatred.

I mean the things i read here are often the opposite of what RP actually said. WTF?

Partially true but not the whole story and mixed with an outright lie. The Soviets can't possibly be called isolationists when their history began with the invasion of dozens of formerly independent nation-states and other entities (i.e. some minor Central Asian khanates) and their later "isolationism" mostly resulted from difficulties in managing them. They tried to support the rebels who eventually wanted to integrate Germany or at least Bavaria into the USSR, deported entire minority groups from territories (I don't care about this so much as despite being partly one I don't like Chechens at all) which had only become officially Russian, like, 80 years prior, offered belated/insufficient support to the communists in the Spanish Civil war, and so on.

Lack of Soviet expansionism in the end was for a simpler reason, which is that they couldn't really keep up with American spending to begin with, let alone over five decades, kept hemmorhaging satellites , and had several internal demographic crises. The Soviets were largely Jewish with a special disdain towards ethnic Russians and Christians alongside traditional pagan groups (you can see how many churches they closed down vs. mosques and synagogues, and the persecution of i.e. Mari pagans and Lithuanian revivalists was very extensive) and so they tried to manage Russian demographics by introducing abortion etc. The issue with this is that the Soviets needed the Russians as a managerial class and that when the Union became actually Russian-dominated towards the end it was already looking at a crisis in Central Asia which owed largely to differential fertility. The soviet union was in no place to expand and really would have been better off with managed contraction. It was never a lack of will. Finally, you can dislike communists and the simpering support for them and-whataboutism (America was evil too!) many people of Peat's generation send their way without being a neocon

Ray is never challenged in interviews, on any subject, which is quite disappointing. He probably picks interviewers who are already sympathetic to his ideas. I’d love to hear him being challenged now and again. I don’t see why he couldn’t hold his own.

I find his political views ridiculous but sometimes he mentions programs or positions that I enjoy investigating. He is a Stalin apologist quite clearly. But the facts and people he talks about can be fruitful for investigation.

You believe that everything that the mainstream media and educators teach about nutrition is false, but are unwilling to question what they claim about communism and the Soviet Union? What primary sources have you consulted? Have you consulted the sources Ray recommends like Karl Marx and Grover Furr?

Peat's main argument is that the current history is fake. Ukrainians are fooled by CIA propaganda and so on. Still I know from my grandparent stories of "
Three spikelets law" when you might get killed for keeping some food during Holodomor. There is so much information on violent mass deportation / NKVD / Gulag etc. etc. where I can rely not only on history documents but also on my relatives.

Still young people like Danny Roddy keep quoting very limited amount of "conspiracy" information to form the view that the only bad thing about Stalin is his conflict with Rotschilds. It's not a history podcast, not a political podcast and such messagefits only because it has the same anti USA way of thinking as any other medical stuff.

Yeah, you can spit out tankie memes about the holodomor being fake (and this is somehow more acceptable than e.g. holocaust denialism) all day long but you can literally just go there and talk to people whose families were there for it. It wasn't something that happened centuries ago and is attested by some incomplete fragment of a dusty scroll in the Vatican archives or something. The idea that southern Russians and Ukrainians hallucinated the political/sadistic side of the holodomor is just insulting and only follows from an infantile belief that nobody could bring charges against communism that aren't entirely fabricated. Here, Ray, and most reflexive anti-Americans, are somewhere between myopic and willfully ignorant. Again, these people also fail to ever mention the completely obnoxious treatment of ethnic minority groups by the USSR, or the treatment of the majority Russians. Luckily our government is partially remediating this through education but...

The Rothschilds and the USSR were in it together in at least some circumstances, e.g. the Congo where the communist government was seemingly only installed to make way for the more American-conglamerate friendly successor and in most former French, Portugese colonies where either US or Soviet subservience invariably followed "marxist" "islamist," "anti-colonial" etc revolutions

I think Danny is essentially provoking Peat to talk about extremely complicated topics in such a short amount of time. Peat isn't given nearly adequate time to address all the complexities and Danny unfortunately is just not good at interviewing Peat sometimes and gets too convoluted with his questions and topics, not to mention his shortsighted hyperfocus on conspiracies.

It's also really disappointing to me on just how ignorant the right is about socialism and Marxism. To properly critique these, it's important to understand the true intentions and meanings. They are highly complex topics with highly complex histories. Authoritarianism can creep into any system when it becomes corrupt. Capitalism isn't immune either.

What do you actually mean when you say this? He has mentioned that he thinks that Stalin was a brilliant mind, or pointed out that he correctly grasped complex relationships. I would argue that both thinks are true, and to acknowledge this is not the same as ignoring his atrocities and character failures. Please provide an example where Peat puts forth an apologist argument.

RP is a health guru. I don't see how his political stance is of any significance.

I just will point out that in the current Youtube

and listen to his comments. He definitely is a Stalin apologist. I feel that he believes Stalin did not commit atrocities. That Stalin has been misrepresented in Western history.
