ok I was thinking about it today, maybe DHT's proetective effect is what causes balding and estrogen prevents balding through damage.
My train of thought goes like this:
estrogen = inflammation = angiogenesis = increased blood vessel density on scalp = no balding
Maybe DHT's prevention of inflammation/angiogenesis is why males go bald.
I'm fully open to criticism, just tell me where I went wrong.
