Does anyone else get anything similar? I can't find any correlation between diet and these malaises. I'll just suddenly find myself completely comatose, staring into nothing, no motivation, no happiness, no nothing, and it lasts the rest of the day.

Sounds like low epinephrine/norepinephrine. Opposite of anxiety syndrome. Try d-l-phenylalamine. Read The Mood Cure - lots of online info.

Have some oj
Prepare a drink with pea protein inside
Drink that while laying in the grass in the sun for like 15 minutes

idk why but this works pretty well for me
sugar, sun is calming and it has been theorized that pea protein is very anti serotonin

also, lowfap no porn

you need to attune yoirself with your being in the moment. Feel sun on your skin, cold grass underneath.
Numbness = time just flies, media consumption, fapping, blue light, hypothyroidism, being indoors etc

Does it matter what you watch? Maybe it’s the more active wifi signaling while you’re downloading something.
Its the engagement level
Are you immersing yourself into the media you are consuming, or trying to learn/understand? Or are you not caring about whats on your screen

same for offline activities
If you don’t care, don’t do it and do nothing instead, until you want to do something
This will powerfully get rid of numbness imo

So you think media can serve as an escape, and numb people like alcohol and drugs do.

The ability of media to do that wears out. People get bored of watching the same stuff, and eventually they get bored of watching stuff in general.

If you could actually find a lasting source of stimulation like you say, then it’d be great. But nothing lasts.

What you’re saying mostly applies to youth and people who don’t have active social lives or social skills. If someone isolates themselves while neuroplasticity is strongest, then that person will have difficulty going back into the world later.
